SUMMARY

WarScope is a conflict intelligence SaaS. When you browse the site, use product features, request paid access, or interact with AI-assisted analysis, we collect limited information needed to operate, secure, measure, and improve the platform.

What We Collect

  • Usage analytics, page views, clicks, referrers, browser and device information, and session activity collected through PostHog and related telemetry tools.
  • Cookies, local storage values, and similar identifiers used to remember preferences, record analytics events, and maintain product settings.
  • IP addresses and server request metadata used for security, fraud detection, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and aggregate geographic analysis.
  • Subscription and billing metadata such as customer email, plan, subscription status, invoice state, and Stripe customer identifiers. WarScope does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Content you submit to the platform, including search queries, briefing prompts, support emails, product feedback, and other direct communications.

How We Use Data

  • Operate, maintain, and secure WarScope.
  • Measure product usage and improve performance and usability.
  • Process subscriptions, billing events, and account changes.
  • Generate AI-assisted outputs and respond to user prompts.
  • Detect abuse, enforce our terms, and investigate incidents.
  • Communicate with users about product updates, support, and legal notices.

Cookies and Analytics

WarScope uses analytics cookies and related storage technologies to understand how the site is used and to improve the product. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some analytics and preference functionality may be reduced if you disable them.

Our cookie banner records your acceptance locally in your browser so it does not keep reappearing after you accept.

Third-Party Services and Data Providers

  • PostHog: product analytics, session measurement, and event instrumentation.
  • Stripe: subscription checkout, billing, invoice handling, and payment processing.
  • Vercel: hosting, content delivery, serverless execution, logs, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Google / Gemini AI: AI-assisted synthesis, summarization, and conflict analysis features when those features are used.
  • GDELT and NASA FIRMS: upstream data sources used to power conflict events, thermal anomalies, and related intelligence views.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices. We recommend reviewing them directly when you need provider-specific details about storage, retention, or international transfers.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to operate WarScope, satisfy contractual obligations, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.

  • Analytics and technical logs are retained for a limited operational period and may then be deleted, aggregated, or de-identified.
  • Billing and tax records may be kept for longer where required by accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.
  • Support messages and AI interaction history may be retained while the account or support relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • De-identified or aggregated information may be kept longer because it no longer identifies a specific person.

International Transfers and Security

WarScope and its providers may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions where our vendors operate. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing.

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary data.
  • Ask us to limit or stop certain processing where required by law.
  • Appeal or complain to a supervisory authority if you believe your rights were not respected.
  • California residents may ask about categories of personal information collected, disclosed, or shared and may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law.

WarScope does not sell personal information for money. To exercise your rights, email privacy@warscope.ai.
