These Terms govern your access to WarScope, including free and paid use of the platform, the limits of the data we surface, and the responsibilities that come with using it.
CRITICAL DISCLAIMER
WarScope provides conflict intelligence for informational purposes only. Data is sourced from third-party providers (GDELT, NASA FIRMS, ADS-B Exchange) and may contain inaccuracies or delays. Do not make operational, military, or safety-critical decisions based solely on this platform.
By accessing or using WarScope, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Eligibility and Access
You may use WarScope only if you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and, if you are acting for an organization, the authority to bind that organization.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including during beta periods, maintenance windows, vendor outages, or security events.
Acceptable Use
- You may not use WarScope as the sole basis for operational, military, safety-critical, targeting, evacuation, or emergency response decisions.
- You may not use the platform for unlawful surveillance, sanctions evasion, harassment, or any activity that violates applicable law.
- You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or scrape or extract data beyond functionality we expressly permit.
- You may not remove proprietary notices or misrepresent WarScope data as guaranteed, official, or government-certified intelligence.
Data Sources and Accuracy
WarScope aggregates and visualizes information from third-party providers, including GDELT, NASA FIRMS, and ADS-B Exchange. Those providers can change methodologies, availability, and quality at any time.
News-derived event feeds may reflect media bias or reporting gaps. Satellite thermal detections can miss events or misclassify non-conflict heat sources. Aviation feeds can be delayed, incomplete, or absent.
AI-generated analysis, summarization, and narrative layers are also probabilistic and may omit nuance or misinterpret incomplete source data. Independent validation remains your responsibility.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Some WarScope features require a paid subscription. Billing is handled by Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges, applicable taxes, and payment processing under Stripe's terms and policies.
- Paid plans renew automatically until canceled through the product, Stripe customer portal, or another method we make available.
- Cancellation stops future renewal but does not retroactively refund prior charges except where required by law or stated otherwise.
- We may modify pricing, packaging, or plan limits with prospective notice.
- If payment fails or fraud is suspected, we may suspend or terminate access to paid features.
Intellectual Property
WarScope, its software, visual design, brand assets, and original content are owned by WarScope or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the service in accordance with these Terms.
Third-party datasets, marks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any WarScope or third-party intellectual property to you.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security risk, fail to pay for paid services, or expose WarScope or its providers to legal or operational harm.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
WarScope is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WarScope and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, contracts, or goodwill arising from or related to the service.
If liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to WarScope will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to WarScope in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
